I like this blade much better than the original slicing blade that came with my machine.I hardly call this a "thick slicing blade", more like a medium blade.They should have packaged this one with the machine and sold the standard one as the "thin slicing blade".This does a much better job, but I could use a real thick blade as well.A quarter inch is hardly thick!
