Elite Cuisine Electric Knife – EK570 Review

An electric knife is a superb tool to use to slice homemade bread. I bought this knife to replace an old GE knife that I had lost.The first time I used it I pressed the "on" button; it sounded good and the blades appeared to be working.When I tried to slice the bread, however,the knife faltered and it became very difficult to keep it going.It was nearly impossible to cut through the loaf and I had to finish it with a regular knife.My husband tried it, thinking I did not knowhow to use the knife, but he had no better success.The button to release the blades for washing and storage is very close to where your thumb would be if you were operating the knife and it was hard to keep from releasing the blades while slicing.I considered that to be an unsafe feature.I washed the knife and put it in the donation bag.I can't recommend it.
